Spices play an important role in cooking, and many people keep jars and bags of spices in their kitchens. Ancient medical texts and recent scientific research indicate that spices affect not only the taste of food but also human health. Spicy foods stimulate the production of endorphins in the body and make us feel better. Spicy and stimulating spices are natural antibiotics.

For example, chili, black pepper, and dried garlic contain capsaicin, piperine, and allicin, which can fight harmful viruses and bacteria. Flavorful green spices contain antioxidants, which are needed to reduce damage from cooking carcinogens and fight age. Spices help to:

  • control blood sugar levels;
  • prevent inflammation;
  • fight bacteria;
  • speed up metabolism;
  • lose weight.
  • Herbs and spices not only improve the taste of food but also make it healthier.
