Quick Orange Sweet Rolls with cranberries and nuts

Orange Sweet Rolls Recipe

Fragrant and tender roll with cranberry pieces and orange peel. You can sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar. You can make an orange pie with the same ingredients.

Prep.: 15 minutes  Cooking time: 1 hour  Servings: 12 servings




  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1 ½ cup cranberries
  • ½ cup pecans, coarsely chopped
  • ¼ cup margarine softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg

Orange Sweet Rolls



Step 1:

Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Grease a baking dish. Whisk flour, baking powder, soda and salt together. Stir in orange peel, cranberries and pecans. Set aside.

Step 2:

In a large bowl, beat together the margarine, sugar, and egg until smooth. Stir in orange juice. Mix in flour until mixture is damp. Pour into prepared mold.

Step 3:

Bake for 1 hour in a preheated oven. Let stand 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool. Wrap in cling film when completely cool.
